Santos 9×1 Ituano

In another historic victory Santos had nine times the ball into Ituano’s goal, for the Paulista Championship, resuming the leadership that had been lost to Santo André. The soccer match took place on Sunday, March 21, in the Pacaembu stadium in Sao Paulo. With such results, Santos reaches an average of 3.21 goals per game, near the record of 3.52 in the year 1963.

The battle began and Ituano scored a goal in the first minute of the match. Santos managed to draw the score board at the 14m, with a goal from PH Ganso. Then PH Ganso shoots again and makes the second goal at 27m. The third came at 39m, by the feet of André. In the end of the first time Madson scored the fourth goal, on the left side of Ituano’s goal.

When started the second time Santos took the field without changing any player.

Within nine minutes, Madson records the fifth goal. At 14m Arouca leaves the match for Maikon Leite comes in, and he soon marks the sixth goal of Santos.

After seven minutes without a goal recording in the match PH Ganso scores one more time, completing seven goals. Six minutes later Zé Eduardo kicks and marks the eighth.

At the end of the match André shoots a penalty and marks the last goal.
